I made it through Adobe photoshop CS4. The invitation has 10 layers got it from 7 different pictures and after a couple of tries to print them i finally got the right color. Cause most of the time you get different color for your prints, usually they come out darker compare to the computer. At first I ordered 1 print from Longs for 1.49 for 5x7 it came out perfect so I ordered 15 more but it came out so dark so I went there and complain about it. Good grief they refund my money. So I ended up ordering prints @ Costco for the same same size but they cost 39 cents a piece. Yeee i save so much, I
saved $31 for 30 copies. The declaration, in the form of a proclamation, in the presence of a huge crowd, was done on June 12, 1898 at the ancestral home of General Emilio Aguinaldo between four and five in the afternoon in Cavite el Viejo (now Kawit), Cavite, some 30 kilometers South of Manila. The event saw the unfurling of the National Flag of the Philippines, made in Hong Kong by Mrs. Marcela Agoncillo, Lorenza Agoncillo and Delfina Herboza, and the performance of the Marcha Filipina Magdalo, as the Nation's National Anthem, now known as Lupang Hinirang, which was composed by Julian Felipe and played by the San Francisco de Malabon Marching band."

AMAZING TREES

We spent our weekend to see the giant trees up north. My hubby went there last 2005 and showed me pictures of big trees, One of them is really huge that they made a hole where cars can pass through. I havent seen big trees in the philippines like this. Actually my husband took me to Big Basin etc where the big trees are (cant remember the name of the other places) Yes my husband loves to take pictures of nature. So we usually go to the woods or beaches. I've seen lots of very huge trees but it's still amazes me whenever I see them. I wonder if we still have those big old trees in the phil. like as old as 500 or 1000 yrs...

Photo was taken February 2005 in Legget Mendocino County by my husband. They said she is a really nice person. My father in-law is living together with his girlfriend Janet. Janet and dad in-law is very nice towards me and my kids and I'm blessed and thankful for them cause they are really a great help to me. My parents are still in the philippines but we planned to visit them next year. Here are a couple of pictures of my kids with their grandpa and grandma Janet. I prefer to teach my kids to call Janet Granny though my stepsons call her name. Then I will embrace him and ask him what happen and try to explain things to him, he is only 1 year and 8 mos old, and I knew he cant fully comprehend what am I saying but somehow he would stop crying and continue on whatever he is doing. While I was comforting him this afternoon, it made me thinks about grown up like us, whom or where do we run to when problems or bad circumstances struck us. Some ran and ask help from friends, relatives or love ones, which sometimes they maybe helping and sometimes may not, or worst even makes the problem more complicated cause mostly people tend to listen just the other side of the story. Then when things gone so bad and we couldn't think of someone or somewhere to go, we remember to pray. Most of the time we ran to God as our last resort. I realize that maybe God want us to be like child that when things go wrong He wants us to run to Him before anyone else. After all He's Love is always sufficient. Thank you Lord for making me think about this, reminding me of your unfailing Love. Bless my family always Lord.
Ethan does not really talk yet, He just bubbles words a lot and I just answer him back as if I understand what he is saying. He's doctor sent me an appointment letter for his speech check up in three months, His doctor said if he don't say at least 3-5 right words we'll gonna see a speech therapist. So I am hoping and praying that he would speak soon. Well he speaks a lot it's just that we don't understand. Actually he loves giving a long speech (LOL).

7th Month Milestone

While I was going through my son's infant pictures, I noticed that his developmental milestone is different from my younger daughter. Ethan, my son who is now 20 moths old, at At 6th month he started sitting, lunging, rolling over from tummy to back or back to tummy, pulling himself up and crawling but didn't start to teeth till 9th months. While my daughter teethed at 6th months, she started sitting up rolling over, lunging at 5th month. She is also started to pull herself up whenever i put her down on her crib but unlike her brother, my daughter cant crawl yet. Yes it's true that every baby is different, they are unique and meet milestone at their own pace.
Spending time reading, singing, playing, nurturing, and watching them is indeed demands a lot of time and effort but I thank God for this wonderful gift of motherhood and the privilege to see and watch them everyday as they grow and to be a part of their every day life.
Here are pics of my son and daughter during 7th My son is already 20 months old and my daughter is 7 months old so I think it's the best time and I don't want to wait anymore longer since they are getting old.

I've been also looking online what is the difference of baby baptism and dedication. And here what I had found and maybe this would help some parents about this very special act we could give our child and which one we should choose whether BAPTISM OR DEDICATION.

Baby dedication is primarily a public declaration of responsibility by the baby’s parents, involving desire and gratitude. They are showing gratitude to God for the gift of a child and for all hopes and possibilities this gift embodies. They are expressing their desire for the well being of the child in the years to come that he or she will prosper physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. They are also taking responsibility to work to make these things happen. The act of dedication is no magic ceremony, which insures the happiness of the participants. It is instead, more like the signing of a contract. The parents declare before God, and His people, that they will do all within their power to be the best parents possible for that child. In return, they ask God for strength and wisdom to carry out the task.

In this regard, “baby dedication” is almost a misnomer. The real dedication is of the parents to whom God has entrusted the child. If they are sincere and faithful in carrying out their responsibility, the child will prosper (Proverbs 22:6). If they are not sincere, no matter how beautiful the prayer, how solemn the affirmations or how moving the moment, the child will in no way benefit from this act of dedication. The child is not saved as a result of this ceremony. He or she must decide later whether or not to walk with the Lord. The ceremony is of benefit for the child only to the degree that the parent fulfills their promises and demonstrates the love and grace of God in their actions and words at home as the child grows.

Because many are unfamiliar with this way of understanding baby dedication, it may be helpful to set out clearly the differences between this kind of dedicatory act and rite of infant baptism as practiced by many churches. Infant baptism is intended to secure the salvation of the child. Churches which practice this rite believe that infants are born sinners and are worthy of God’s judgment simply because they are human, descendants of Adam. Since in this understanding of these groups an unbaptized infant will go to hell should it die, it is imperative to counteract the child’s sinfulness by the infusion of grace, which they believe occurs at baptism. In contrast, we do not baptize because as we understand from scripture, people are not condemned to hell simply because they are born, but each person chooses wrongly for himself and so encounters the judgment of God. Since infants cannot make those choices, it is mistaken to say they are sinful and it is unnecessary to try and remove their sins through some sacred rite. The real concern is to help children make the right choices as they grow, choices for God and his grace. Since this can happen most easily through the influence of godly parents, we ask the parents to dedicate themselves to a responsible, faithful lifestyle, and to dedicate children to the keeping grace of God.
http://www.harborlight.com/260418.ihtml

My Super Boy

I needed more baby and toddler proffing at home. This morning I caught my 20 months old son climbing up on his dresser. It caught me by surprise, how the heck did he got in there! Everytime he does things that we forbid him, I put him inside his playpen so to let him know the consequences of his action. He hates being inside his playpen.

Ethan @ School waiting for his brothers, fascinated with woods and sticks.

Terrah looking up the flags.

MY MISTAKE

I went to the Lucky's Store last night with my son to use my wic checks. So I got a lot of stuff like 9 cans of formula, 2 gallons of fresh milk, eggs, cheese, juices etc. I got my cart almost half full. And into my surprise, when I got to the counter the cashier said my checks is not valid till the 7th of May, it was only the 5th yesterday. I was so embarrased and upset cause I just wasted my time. The cashier is nice that he told me to just leave the stuff on the counter and they will return it for me. My last month wic check was dated the 5th and I assumed the new ones are dated the same. So I got my lesson here "always check the date".
I got up @ 6:50 AM this morning to get the clothes from the laundry room. I'm still sleepy, went to bed @2 am last night but I decided to stay up so I could start to do things. Got a lot of clothes to fold, didnt get a chance to do it last night cause I was busy bloghopping. I just finished to wash my babies bottle, my hubby always tells me to just put the bottle in the dishwashing but I do not trust it. I'm dozing off maybe I should go back to bed till my baby and tots wake up, cause I wont be able to have nap later.

OVER THE TOP AWARD

Got this first award from Heavenly Delight . My hubby had twin boys on his 1st married, they are turning 12 this coming June. He told me that it seems twins is easier to take care of than our 2o months old son and 7 months old daughter. He said having twins, they tried to do things at the same time. Like they fed them at the same time and they nap and sleep at the same time. With our first son we used spread a blanket on the carpet and let him stay there a lot, for tummy time till he started crawling and walking but when we had our daughter, we cant just leave her on the carpet, or on the couch cause of our older son. Cause whenever he saw his sister he want to sit or hold her, he is sweet and gentle towards his sister but we worry about him hurting his sister. So we tried to be more careful when he's around. Most of the time during the day, when my older son is napping my daughter is awake, so I dont really have that much time for myself when my hubby is not off from work. So maybe having twins is easier compare to 2 different age at a certain age. My son was spoiled a little during his infant years. He slept with us on our bed till 11 months which he still does from time to time. While our younger daughter slept all through the night on her crib sometimes I ended up taking our son out from his crib and put him beside me when he wakes up at night crying cause I dont want him to wake her sister up too. My kids are handful but I love being SAHM cause I'm having this opportunity to watch them closely @this early age.

MUSIC MONDAY

This song is dedicated to my other half whom I love so dearly.

Come join Music Monday and share your songs with us. Nobody can watch my kids while @ church cause my in-laws drove to LA for my hubby's niece graduation. I did tried to leave my son @ the nursery, the church offers free child care during the service, but my son cried and cried. I found a church that has night service during saturday here in fremont called CROSSROAD. So we might move to that church since my husband is not always off during the weekend. The church has the same belief and foundation.
Got up @ 6 AM to give my daughter her bottle then tried to put her back to sleep which she did( lucky me) so i went back to bed too since i was up last night till 2 AM messing around with my computer. Me and my 2 kids got up around 9 AM, gave them breakfast, I watched a sermon online, then I started my laundry. I didn't turned on the tv today for my kids, well I tried not too, I just let them watched and listen to bible kids song.
The sermon was about How people judge by their appearances. The pastor mentioned about Susan Boyle of BGT. When Susan Boyle appear @ the audience and tell them about her dreams, you could see by the audience faces their dislike because of her appearance until she started singing, and people were stunned of her voice and performance. Yes sometimes we tend to judge people by the their outward appearances, I myself is guilty of this so I pray the lord to bless me and create a pure heart in me. and that I will I might live this passage in the bible Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is fair, whatever is pure, whatever is acceptable, whatever is commendable, if there is anything of excellence and if there is anything praiseworthy-keep thinking about these things.Philippians 4:8 Cause for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7. Yes it's been a cold days but I noticed this morning the temperature warmed up and so I am expecting that this coming week will be a good week to take the kids to the beach. Especially now that I cant take them to mall or any shopping center because of the swine flu. I knew beach is the best place to take the kids since there is not that much people and i dont have to worry about them getting the disease. Last week we took my son and daughter to Pigeon Point Beach with their grandpa. Though Ethan is afraid to go near the water maybe because of the sound of the waves and I did let him feel the water (it's freezing cold he he he). He did had a good time exploring and so as my daughter. Before we went to Pigeon Point my hubby took us to the Hotel by the beach (JW Marriott Hotel). And I found out that Omega 3 fatty acids, also known as polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), are essential to our health.
Symptoms of omega 3 fatty acid deficiency include fatigue, poor memory, dry skin, heart problems, mood swings, depression and poor circulation.

Fish oil is oil derived from the tissues of oily fish, it contains the omega-3 fatty acids, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).

BENEFITS OF OMEGA 3

Taking fish oil (in any form) can help regulate cholesterol in the body

Recent studies have suggested that fish oil may reduce the risk of depression, and importantly, suicide risk

Omega-3 exerts neuroprotective action in Parkinson's disease. Since Parkinson's is a disease caused by disruption of the dopamine system, this protective effect exhibited could show promise for future research in the prevention of Parkinson's disease.

Essential fatty acids are highly concentrated in the brain and appear to be important for cognitive and behavioral function. fish oil may help protect the brain from cognitive problems associated with Alzheimer's disease.[1

omega-3 fatty acids could also help delay or prevent the onset of schizophrenia.

Several studies report possible anti-cancer effects of n−3 fatty acids found in fish oil (particularly breast, colon and prostate cancer).

Children with ADHD may have low levels of certain essential fatty acids including EPA and DHA. In a clinical study of 100 boys, those with lower levels of omega 3 fatty acids had more learning and behavioral issues such as temper tantrums and sleep disturbances, then boys with normal omega 3 fatty acid levels.Another study used omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids supplements in 117 children with ADHD. We are taking extra caution like making sure our older kids who goes to school everyday has to wash their hand before they could play w/ my 20 mos old son and my daughter after school. We also bought them hand sanitizer that they bring everyday to school. We also told them to stay away to people who are coughing or sneezing or people whoi looks like sick. Hope and pray that this swine flu wont be as bad as the SARS in hongkong. I was there during that time and it was really bad, and very uncomfortable since we have to wear mask everyday.

Terrah Joy @ 6 mos. & 3 weeks old

My daughter started to sit up unsupported a month ago, She was only 5 mos and 3 weeks old by that time. I had a chat with my friend Jamie today and talked about my blog, ask her help to help me monetize it someday cause she told me i needed 30 days before i could start to monetize my blog. I also asked her to be one of the God mother of Ethan for the coming dedication. And she agreed so thank you Jamie. I met Jamie @ the US Immigration in the phil. and since then we called each other from time to time. I'll be doing a dedication for my son and daughter this coming June 21st. But me and my hubby have to attend a seminar 2nd sunday of that month. I planned to have the dedication @ Harbor Light Church in Thornton Fremont Ca. 5-10 mins away from here. Well can't wait to finally dedicate my kids to the Lord. My kids are the very best and wonderful blessings I recieved from God. I'm so thankful and feel blessed everyday having them and seeing them grow. And I have to make sure and do my best to bring them up with a God fearing spirit. So help me God.
